Frequently Asked Questions

Are you going to make me throw out all my stuff?

No! We will never ask you to get rid of something that is important to you. We like to exercise what we call “compassionate clearing”. We will take a look at items that are broken, duplicates, or no longer serving you to see if keeping them helps you attain your overall goal.

Do you have a minimum spend?

Yes and No. Virtual sessions don’t hold a minimum, but when traveling for an in home session we require a purchase of at least 4 hours of service. With all options we will suggest purchasing chunks of time based on your specific needs and goals so we can assure you see results.

How many hours will my project take?

Every home/space is different, but we will try our best to suggest the number of hours to start with and adjust as we go based on needs and budget. Some factors that effect the timeframe of your project would be the size of the area, how much and what kind of belongings are there, and how involved you are in the process. For example, a drawer of paperwork will take longer to go through than a drawer of candles, and two people working instead of one will always get you to the finish line faster.

What do I do with everything that’s leaving my house?

If you scheduled an in person session we will take one car load of donations/recycling per session. For anything that is too large to haul we will arrange for a bulk pick up. If you scheduled virtual sessions we will give you contacts to help arrange pick ups.

How do I know what supplies to buy for my space?

All package options include guidance on how to measure your area and our favorite go to products that would work in your space. Want us to just handle it for you? No problem! All shopping is billed at our hourly rate.

Do you have multiple organizers that work together?

We have the option to have multiple organizers if the job is larger or you are on a time crunch. Usually Annie tackles each project head on.

If I don’t want to be involved in the organizing, how will you know what stays and what goes?

We will never clear anything from the space without your involvement and approval. At the start of every project we will go through your belongings with you to learn what items still serve you, and get a feel for how you want your space to function and flow. If you want to step back and let us handle the rest after we clear the space together you absolutely can!

What is virtual organizing? Don’t you have to be here?

If there was anything 2020 gave us it was the ability to “pivot” when things were uncertain and unpredictable. When we couldn’t go into peoples homes we had to find another way to help our clients and virtual organizing was born. Facetime, zoom, and google meet allowed us to still look our clients in the eye, see their spaces, sort and make plans together as a team… even if we couldn’t physically help out. We continue offering virtual sessions today to help people that are out of our service area, or still a bit hesitant to have someone in their home.

What does a coaching session involve?

Coaching sessions are short “check in” talks with an organizer to get some direction for your project. Phone calls or virtual video sessions can last up to 30 minutes and we will talk about your goals, set up a plan, and assign tasks to get you there little by little. We have had good success with a weekly chat to help keep your momentum and give you any resources you may need along the way.

What happens when you leave and the mess finds its way back?

Don’t fret! We can come back at anytime to refresh your space or reevaluate an area that isn’t working. Ask us about our maintenance plans!

Will there be pictures of my house all over the internet?

Absolutely not! We take our clients privacy very seriously. We understand that you are letting us into your most sacred spaces and our main focus of every visit is to help you achieve your goals. If we would like to document a result, or share an example of a successful area or product we will always ask permission first, and make sure there are no identifying elements in the photo.
